From Neighbors to Nations: Finding Your Place in God’s Global Mission

This will be a three-session training event led by Larry and Susan McCrary to help those at Shoreline understand God’s plan for involving each of us in the Great Commission. You can attend all three as a series or attend any one individually. No cost for the lunch or to attend! Childcare provided for birth-5th grade. These sessions will begin at 12:30 PM in the downstairs Student Room and end around 2:00 PM.

Register below to any session(s) you will be attending. Details and registration for each session below.

April 14 - The Sending Church: Outwardly Focused Discipleship

Every church has a unique role and responsibility to fulfill in the Great Commission. Looking into the church at Antioch as a biblical description of a good sending church we will learn key lessons that help us as a church to send people to our neighborhoods and to the nations. The key is a discipleship that is outwardly focused.

May 5 - Life as a Sent One - Learning to think and act like a missionary

Jesus gave us a great verse when talking about the Great Commission in the gospel of John. He said “as the Father sent me, so send I you”. Wherever we live, work and play at home or abroad we need to think more like a missionary. In this session we will learn basic missionary skills that will equip you to live your life with gospel intentionality.

June 9 - God’s Heart for the Nations

Every Christ follower are not just recipients of the gospel, but they should be active participants in the Great Commission. God has a heart for all nations to hear the good news of the gospel. We live in a day where not only can we travel to the ends of the earth in taking the gospel, but we also have people from all over the world in our own neighborhood. In this session we will explore from scripture God’s heart for the nations and how that can shape us as Great Commission Christians.
