If you desire to enrich your marriage and build a stronger foundation for the future, we encourage you to attend the 2024 Shoreline Marriage Retreat! Experienced marriage counselor and communicator Clark Stevens will lead this special event at the new Dollywood HeartSong Lodge and Resort. During the weekend, couples will:

  • Learn more about God's plan for marriage. The Bible has much to say about God's perspective on the sacred union of marriage.

  • Be encouraged by other couples who are on the same journey. Gathering alongside couples committed to building solid marriages is a great encouragement and support.

  • Develop a plan for your future together. You will spend time with your spouse reflecting on your relationship and developing goals for the future.

The retreat will involve sessions beginning Friday evening (Feb 9) and will conclude Saturday afternoon (Feb 10). There is an option available for couples to stay an additional night at an extra cost. All pricing includes lodging, Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, and conference programming. Lunch and Dinner on Saturday are not included.

About Clark Stevens

We are excited to have Clark Stevens lead this conference as we explore topics like disciplines for maintaining romantic relationships after kids, how to get your marriage back in the front seat, preserving and protecting romance, and more.

Clark Stevens, PhD, received his Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, in 1997. He was an assistant clinical professor at UT Southwestern Allied Health Sciences School, Department of Rehabilitation Counseling, and psychologist in private practice in the Dallas-Fort Worth area before moving to Knoxville in 2007. Dr. Stevens developed LaunchPoint at Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM), a program that helps individuals experiencing homelessness re-integrate their lives in the community; he developed and leads Marriage Innovators at Fellowship Church Knoxville, a marriage and relationship education program. Most recently, he co-developed the Knoxville Marriage Initiative - now Healthy Connections Knoxville - with Dr. Kristina Gordon from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and serves on the advisory board of this initiative. His expertise includes delivery of marriage and relationship education workshops in the Knoxville area as well as providing marriage and relationship counseling in his private practice.
